Small Staffordshire Pearlware putto & bird figure

Pre-Victorian, circa 1820. 4.75ins high. Small Staffordshire Pearlware figure of a putto holding a bird under one arm.
He wears a cloth draped around his waist.



Modeled on a russet lined, square plinth base.





Decorated all round.



Vent hole to underside.


Condition

Good. No cracks. No hairlines.

A few flakes around the base.







Small paint loss to beak.



Slight rubbing to hair.







Three restored chips to base.









Restored flake to right shoulder.



Retouching to cloak





and ground.
